Victoria Burdett-Coutts M.Sc. R.P. Bio
Victoria has over two decades of experience in the coastal marine environment on Canada’s Atlantic, Pacific and Arctic coasts; her experience spans consulting, government, industry, and academic realms of marine science with a focus on the benthic seabed. Victoria is a regional council member for the College of Applied Biology (CAB) and is a member in good standing for her Professional Biologist designation.
Victoria is a highly experienced regulatory specialist and is well-versed in federal, territorial, and municipal legislative/review processes. Victoria has provided clients with exceptional service for the life cycle of the approvals process. She has acted as lead biologist in the design and implementation of baseline and monitoring programs, development of mitigation and offsetting plans, and environmental management plans for many British Columba and Nunavut based projects.
Victoria has been a professional diver for in excess of two decades, with experience with Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), the Canadian Association for Underwater Science (CAUS) and the Diver’s Certification Board of Canada (DCBC). Victoria specializes in scientific diving, and is the Dive Safety Officer (DSO) for the University of Victoria (UVIC) and is one of our lead biological divers at Dynamic Ocean.
