Laura Borden M.Sc., R.P. Bio

Laura has worked in marine sciences for over a decade and supports several of our business sectors. Laura has worked in Pacific northwest and Arctic marine habitats within academic, non-profit and consulting realms. Laura is highly experienced with marine vegetation ecology and subtidal habitat assessments and has participated in the design and implementation of baseline biodiversity survey programs in Cambridge Bay, Baffin Island, Hudson Bay, the Strait of Georgia, Howe Sound and Burrard Inlet.

Laura is also an experienced regulatory professional and supports all phases of the permitting and regulatory approvals process, and is knowledgeable in the federal, provincial, territorial and municipal legislative/review process for projects in British Columbia and Nunavut. This includes the preparation of permit applications and supporting documents (e.g. construction environmental management plans).

Laura is one our lead divers for our commercial and scientific diving programs for environmental assessments and teaching science diving techniques for our CAUS program.

Laura is a member in good standing for her Professional Biologist designation with the College of Applied Biology (CAB)
