Alexandra Wiebe, BSc. Biology

During her BSc Biology, Alexandra conducted research with the University of Winnipeg and International Institute of Sustainability’s Experimental Lakes area on nutrient composition of freshwater systems. After graduation, she moved to the west coast and explored the coastlines as an expedition kayak guide, naturalist and boat driver around Vancouver Island and New Zealand.

Inspired by the ocean and marine inhabitants, she was driven to assist with habitat restoration research projects with Kelp Rescue Initiative and the Baum lab at University of Victoria from 2023-2024. She is experienced with largescale data analysis, SOP development, field data collection, boat driving, and CAUS dive tending.
